In the beginning was Sound / the drumbeat of Creation / throbbing to a climatic bang / that banged and bangs still/                      Creation / as heard on Earth.*

This African body vibrates / dancing and swirling with the Earth / the drumbeat of Creation / in rhythm with the Sun / the Sound of Creation as seen on the Earth.

This African heart pounds / with the rhythm of Creation / joining others scattered across this Earth / hanging on a string that vibrates with of Sound of Creation / as felt on Earth.

Waves cascade with a booming Sound / waves high and low as far as the eye cannot see / waves crushing on shore that the ear cannot hear/but for the throbbing heart in the ribcage / in forest roots within / the rhythm of Creation / etched on this Earth / as flowers and soil / dolphins and seaweed / beetles and butterflies / trees and grass/ elephants and birds /… all echoes of Creation / hanging on a swirling ball of hot lava / Earth / number 4 from the Zero point of this place.

In the beginning was Sound / the drumbeat of Creation / throbbing to a climatic bang / that banged and bangs still/                      Creation / as lived on Earth** ….

To be continued.

*Note: This piece was written in 2020, and I post it now as I found a “matching sound” via NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day website and the image featured here.

**Another “matching sound” linked to this blog, “Sounds of Creation,” is the amazing Sounds of Space Project by Kim Cunio, Diana Scarborough, and Nigel Meredith. Check it out and its free downloadable “Celestial Incantations”.
