Inspirare <> Breathe in.
Respirare <>Breathe out.
Raise your face to the heavens
And let that angel of grace on your face
Flare its wings like a butterfly
As you breathe in and breathe out.

Raise your voice to the heavens
Let it soar in gratitude
For those angel wings within you
Lungs
That bring you the trees’ unconditional love
Air, Life.

Let me never ever hear you say,
Ah, but the shape of my nose
I say, Go on, cradle that angel perched on your face
In gratitude. It allows you to
Inspirare <> Breathe in
and
Respirare <>Breathe out

Breathe in deep and
Hold. Gently.
Savor that breath and
Feel those flapping wings within
Your unflappable ribs.

Breathe out deep and
Raise your arms out wide
In adoration of the Life that is you
A life only lived moment by moment
While floating in the Cosmos
Atop this beloved Earth
Whose mud, iron, and air
Affords you a nose, skin,
And Lungs
Those upside-down trees within
Whose angel wings flap
With each conscious and unconscious breath.

Bring your hands together
Lean in and hug a tree
In gratitude
For the angels within you
Who allow you to know yourself as you
Inspirare <> Breathe in.
Respirare <>Breathe out
Until the day you draw you last.
