The sun neither sets nor rises
yet I, human that I am,
have learned to worship the day
and fear the night. Why?

So, I go out at night to visit time,
and while gazing at the whirling cosmos
above, below, and all around me,
time whispers a giggle.

The joke is on me.
For though a grown being, and educated no less,
I am in the grip of the looking eye,
and the naming mind.

The looking eye says,
this is day, and that is night.
Time is tickled silly, by this hypnotic trance.

When did I forget that I am
the laughter of the sun that neither rises nor sets,
I am seed of the earth rising to greet time,
right here in the midnight of my recognition.

Time.
I Greet You.
 Again.
For the first time.
