You left this magnificent Earth,
that you only experienced in captivity.
Your fellow orcas, I read,
Those who loved you most and best,
gathered in your home waters....
Now you swim in infinite freedom.

That we humans did not think twice 
about seeing you like this
Is my eternal human shame.

You are gone, but many of your kind, 
And those of the land, and the air
Remain entrapped in our zoos, aquariums...
These are the human wages of capital

But, You did not die in vain…
